According to Bush...We've been in a state of "national emergency" against Iran since 1979

This crap blows my mind. The following is from the Presidential Documents section of LOUISdb.org
Notice of November 8, 2007

Continuation of the National Emergency With Respect to Iran
On November 14, 1979, by Executive Order 12170, the President declared a national emergency with respect to Iran pursuant to the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701-1706) to deal with the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States constituted by the situation in Iran. Because
our relations with Iran have not yet returned to
normal, and the process of implementing the January 19, 1981 agreements with Iran is still underway, the national emergency declared on November 14, 1979, must continue in effect beyond November 14, 2007. Therefore,
consistent with section 202(d) of the National
Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am continuing for 1 year this national emergency with respect to Iran.

This notice shall be published in the Federal Register
and transmitted to the Congress.

(Presidential Sig.)

THE WHITE HOUSE,

November 8, 2007.
I guess the "resident in the Oval Office" wanted to remind US of something. That "something"....Iran. The man is dangerous and has other motives. Impeach!, before before he and his cronies start WWIII.

Ahmadinejad found his first "traitor". Former nuclear negotiator charged with Spying

Last week Ahmadinejad called the critics of his government less intelligent "than a little goat". By Monday he had denounced all Iranian citizens who criticize Iran's nuclear program as "traitors" and "If they do not give up their pressures on [the government] over the atomic issues, we [the government] will expose them to the Iranian nation," Two days later, Mr. Ahmadinejad has found his first "traitor". The pony show trials begin.

As reported by the BBC,
Former Iranian nuclear negotiator [Hossein Mousavian] has been charged with giving classified information to the British embassy, the Iranian intelligence minister has said.

Mr Mousavian is close to former President Hashemi Rafsanjani, a leading rival to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

In October, chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani resigned over reported differences with the president on the nuclear issue.
.....
Intelligence Minister Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejeie told the semi-official Fars news agency ..."This accusation is proven in the eyes of the intelligence ministry".

On Monday, Mr Ahmadinejad denounced as "traitors" those in Iran who have criticised its nuclear programme, state media have reported.

He went on to say that his critics had pressured a judge "to acquit a suspect for spying".

This was assumed to be a reference to Mr Mousavian.

Also on Wednesday Iran's parliament approved Mr Ahmadinejad's nominees for ministers of oil and industry.

The acting oil minister, Gholamhossein Nozari, was confirmed in his post, as was Ali Akbar Mehrabian as industry minister.
Now ya see..this was/is an absolutely stupid move on Ahmadinejad's part. It its also being reported today that Iran has conceded to the IAEA and given them documentation on their nuclear program.
The IAEA has been asking Iran for the design document since 2005.
.....
The design document contains information on casting uranium metal, a process related to the fabrication of nuclear weapon components.
.....
Iran says it was given the papers without asking for them during its black market purchases of nuclear equipment years ago.
.....
IAEA inspectors have been permitted to view the document in Iran, but up to now, Teheran has refused to let them have a copy.

Now a document has been handed over to the IAEA. BBC
Too little, too late. I fear Mohammed ElBaradei, the head of the IAEA, has bought Iran all the time the Bush administration take. The documents will only intensify their war mongering rhetoric.

Iran: Mr. "Members Only Jacket" calls Iranian non nuclear supporters "traitors"

Here goes whacko again. Instead of threatening Israel or the West, this time Ahmadinejad has threatened his own citizens.

From the BBC,
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has denounced as "traitors" those in Iran who have criticised its nuclear programme, state media have reported.
.....
Reformists and several senior clerics have challenged Iran's nuclear policy.

Last week, Mr Ahmadinejad was quoted as claiming his government's critics were less intelligent "than a little goat".
.....
In his speech at Tehran's Science and Technology University, Mr Ahmadinejad said he had no intention of halting Iran's nuclear programme despite warnings by rival politicians and several clerics of the serious threats facing the country.
.....
"These people are traitors and, based on our pact with the nation, we will not back down," he said, according to the official news agency, Irna.

"If they do not give up their pressures on [the government] over the atomic issues, we will expose them to the Iranian nation," he added.

"These are traitors and, in accordance with the vows we have taken to the nation, we will not back down and be onlookers."

Mr Ahmadinejad said he had chosen not to reveal their identities "because of some sensitivities", but warned he would do so "upon closure of the nuclear issue".

"They sent people to the enemy to regularly give them information from within the ruling system every week. We even have a recorded speech of one of them who tells the enemy: 'Why should you give up?... Step up pressure to make [Iran] retreat'," he claimed. Read the entire article.
The man is crazy. Unfortunately we have ourselves a crazy one, too. thump, thump, Thump...can you hear the drumbeat.

Azerbaijan Security Forces foil "terror plot". Are they the 'new' terrorist busters?

"The Wahhabi virus has been around here for a few years, but it's necessary to prove their involvement in these events," Ilgar Ibrahimoglu, head of the Center for Protection of Freedom of Conscience
On Saturday Azerbaijan's security forces prevented what they are calling a, "large scale, horrifying terror attack", against the U.S. and UK embassies in Baku, the capitol of Azerbaijan. Welcome Al Qaeda in Azerbaijan, (AQA) if you will.

Here are the details from several sources,
"Several people belonging to a Wahhabi group have been detained. They were planning terrorist attacks near the U.S. embassy in Baku," National Security Ministry spokesman Arif Babayev was quoted as saying.

The ministry said the group was armed with stolen military grenades and assault rifles and had planned a "large-scale, horrifying terror attack." China View
......
Security forces raided a group planning the attacks, killing one member and arresting several others, a national security ministry statement said.
.....
The ministry said a renegade army officer was involved in the plot.

The lieutenant deserted his unit this month, taking with him four assault rifles, a machine gun and 20 hand grenades, the statement said.
.....
Security forces tracked the group to Mastaga, a village 30km (20 miles) north-east of Baku, on Saturday, where one of its members offered resistance and was killed. BBC
According to the Department of State's, Sean McCormack,
"There was some specific and credible threat information concerning the embassy and plans by militants to in some way do harm to the individuals in or around the U.S. Embassy there, but we have worked very well with the Government of Azerbaijan...Now, I think that they have ongoing law enforcement operations designed to address the source of the threat." AP
20 grenades, 1 machine gun, and 4 assault rifles..."horrifying and large scale", not so much. Or a plot to engage Iran with the West,
Ilgar Ibrahimoglu, the head of the Center for Protection of Freedom of Conscience, an Azeri human rights group, said it was not yet clear if the government was exaggerating the threat to show the West its determination to battle militant groups.
Welcome to Al Qaeda in Azerbaijan. (AQA). Shortly BushCO will ply them with jet fighters, advanced weaponry, and bombs. We all know, it 'pays' to play with Bush.

U.S. Military renames Persian Gulf to "Arabian Gulf"....it's all in the name

Let's call it "Gulf of Central Command", or simply the "Gulf of America". Let's recognize the reality of the complete occupation of this invaded body of water by the 100-plus warships and missile-armed nuclear submarines, the bases and the Air Warfare School. K Darbandi, Iranian-American scientist and former member of the Islamic Republic opposition.
Ahh the beauty of semantics. The United States military has urged her troops to refer to the "gulf" as the "Arabian Gulf", not the "Persian Gulf". Hmm, what brought about the change of name? Apparently it has been deemed illegal, wrong, and blatantly historically inaccurate to refer to the "gulf" as Persian. Sure..whatever. Let the "re naming game" commence.

According to the Asia Times Online,
Iranian officials and Iranians in general are very sensitive about the term "Persian Gulf" as the official and recognized name for the waterway separating Iran and the Arabian peninsula. They are upset when Arab states or journals do not cite it as such - particularly when the term "Arab Gulf" is used. And yet a far smaller number of Iranians appear concerned that human activities could turn that object of national pride and diplomatic contention into a filthy pool of toxins.
The U.S. is in bed with the U.A.E. and if they want the "gulf" referred to as "Arabian", so be it...the U.S. will oblige her,
Various branches of the United States armed forces have issued directives to their members to use the "Arabian Gulf" when operating in the area. This is claimed to be due to increased cooperation with Arab states of the Persian Gulf, but also to follow local laws that ban the use of "Persian Gulf". In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which consists of seven emirates - Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain, public use of the name "Persian Gulf" is illegal.

The nationalistic sensibilities of the UAE's ruling families do not go much beyond waging this nominal jihad. The name of the body of water is most important to Arab nationalism, but what is actually in the water apparently is not a matter of national concern: the UAE ports host more US Navy ships than any other port outside the US [1].
.....
Since the Gulf War of 1991, Jebel Ali port in Dubai has become crucial to US naval operations in the Gulf; it is the safest liberty port in the region and the only harbor in the Gulf deep enough to berth an aircraft carrier. [5] And the showcase UAE army, originated by the British-educated top brass, is a major financial lubricator of the military industry in the United States. [6]

US policy towards this super-wealthy stain of inequality and inhumanity is clear from the manner in which US institutions, from its military to its universities, play the naming game.
in reference to 19th century German dialectician-philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Hegel....
The prevalent utterances on both sides of the Gulf naming game, to some racist, to others nationalistic, are manifestations of this common, demagogic, abstract thinking: to distract people of the region from thinking in real and concrete terms. So let's raise the question again: Is this an "Arabian" or a "Persian" Gulf? To get real, let's ask: What is the real character of this Gulf? Let's turn the naming game from abstraction to concreteness, flip it on its head and then play.

Why don't we call it the "Hindu Gulf", or the "Gulf of The Unknown Worker"?

Let's call it "Gulf of Central Command", or simply the "Gulf of America". Let's recognize the reality of the complete occupation of this invaded body of water by the 100-plus warships and missile-armed nuclear submarines, the bases and the Air Warfare School. But then, the old British name for the UAE was Pirate Coast, so how about "Gulf of Captain Hook"? In this way, American children's culture is memorialized as well.

Playing the inverted naming game, thinking of the Filipino domestic workers raped by Arab desert princes, and evoking an Iranian suggestion, "Islamic Gulf", and using a Koranic term, let's call it: "Gulf of a Thousand and One Kaniz [10]"! It is exotic, real and Islamic.
...
let's call it "Gulf of Little-Big Sheikhs"!
I like the last...the "Gulf of Little-Big Sheikhs" with America's arsenal of war in tow. Do you see the rhetoric increasing? The war of words is in full swing. America is headed towards war with Iran. Hell, this week Bill Kristol even showed up on Fox News spewing his war monger crap out every chance he could. Where was he for the last month? I assume devising his "echo chamber" neo con WWIII or IV press strategy. Yesterday, it was the Qods Force..today the entire "gulf". What will the next "shock and awe" be named? Stop the insanity. Don't let the neo conservatives "sell" US another "lemon".

Bush: 'missile shield' protects against terrorists. Too bad terrorists carry their 'missiles', not launch them

Bush, surrounded by students after his speech at NDU

On Tuesday, Bush gave a speech at the National Defense University (NDU), in Washington, as part of the university's, "Distinguished Lecture Program". During his visit he stressed his vision for continuing the war OF terror and the need for his "missile shield" against a growing Iranian threat. With Iran saying they'll rain 11,000 missiles per minute on US bases in the region, Cheney's upgrade, and Bush promising WWIII if Iran continues her nuclear ambitions, a missile 'sheild' might not be such a bad idea to re consider.

Only problem..'terrorists' don't launch their 'missiles' , they carry them.

Here is what Bush was 'selling' the military 'leadership' at NDU
"The need for missile defence in Europe is real and I believe it's urgent."
.....
"The Cold War is over. Russia is not our enemy"
.....
"join us against an emerging threat that affects us all... we ought to respond to this threat together".
.....
The president said if "rogue states" had less confidence their missiles would strike, they would be "less likely to engage in acts of aggression in the first place".
.....
"We would consider tying together activation of the sites in Poland and the Czech Republic with definitive proof of the threat - in other words, Iranian missile testing and so on." Robert Gates bbc
Look, America, we are in a position where two delusional men are increasing their rhetoric towards war. They are both promising untold destruction and ultimately are 'staging' themselves as prophets, not Presidents. Both leaders are highly evangelized. They view the world through a pair of glasses with one lens focused on 'good' and the other 'evil'. There is no in between. War is inevitable. BushCO wants their missile shield and AmedinejadCO are rapidly preparing for battle.

We might heed the evil lil' character's warnings..what he wants..he gets and the 'House of Pelosi' seems to ensure it. Too bad the 'terrorists' don't use long and medium range missiles, though. This 'shield' is for defense against threats from 'nation states', not terrorists. Bush is playing it both ways. War with Iran will be asymmetrical...after his 'bombing shock and awe'..Iran WILL NOT be launching missiles. They will be strapping TNT onto themselves and WALKING and DRIVING into their targets. Not launching them thousands of miles.

We need to take our Democracy back NOW. These delusional chumps are CAUSING WWIII. The next time Bush goes 'fishing'..or goes to Crawford...we need to be worried because the bombs will start falling.

Must See TV tonight: "Showdown with Iran"

Just a reminder, Tonight, October 23rd, PBS will be airing "Showdown With Iran" So instead of suffering through Dancing with the Stars, boring freakish House, Terrorist hunters on The Unit, or the fattest Loser..educate yourself. Give your brain some food, too. Watch PBS tonight.

As Iraq descends into chaos and civil war, FRONTLINE examines the rise of its neighbor --Iran -- as one of America's greatest threats and most puzzling foreign policy challenges.
Through Interviews with key players on both sides, FRONTLINE traces the tumultuous history of U.S.-Iran relations since 9/11 -- from unprecedented early cooperation in Afghanistan to the growing crisis over Iran's nuclear ambitions and Tehran's open threats to drive America out of the Middle East.

October 23,2007 press release,
"You will not find a single instance in which a country has inflicted harm on us and we have left it without a response," deputy head of Iran's National Security Council Mohammad Jafari tells FRONTLINE in his first television interview. "So if the United States makes such a mistake, they should know that we will definitely respond. And we don't make threats."

There are increasing signs that the Bush administration is seriously considering military action before it leaves office if Tehran continues to defy U.N. demands that it cease enriching uranium for its nuclear program -- a program the Iranians insist is for peaceful purposes. "The president has said repeatedly that it is unacceptable for Iran to have nuclear weapons," former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton (neocon WARMONGER) tells FRONTLINE. "If action is not taken in terms of regime change or, if need be, the use of military force, the question of when Iran achieves nuclear weapons is entirely in Iran's own hands. And that is extraordinarily undesirable."

But Richard Armitage, President Bush's former deputy secretary of state, warns, "It would be the worst of worlds for an outgoing administration to start a conflict."

After 9/11, the Bush administration hoped to drive a wedge between Iran's people and their Islamic rulers by installing democracies on two of Iran's borders. "If things had gone better in Iraq," says Hillary Mann, the Iran expert on the National Security Council during the run-up to the war, "then yeah, I think Iran was next."

"I think Iran is more secure now, courtesy of the United States," Bolton says. "We have removed the Taliban regime from Afghanistan, which they viewed as a mortal threat. We have removed Saddam Hussein in Iraq, which they viewed as a mortal threat." Read on...

Cheney upgrades his 'meaningful' consequences towards Iran to 'SERIOUS' consequences.

If there is one thing you can say about the Vice President...he is extremely 'calculating'. No matter if you love him or hate him, Cheney chooses his words wisely and once he's made a decision...it's final.

That's what scares me...Cheney's recent 'upgrade' of his threats. Couple his statements with that of the 'resident in the oval office' and Cheney's 'meaningful consequences' become something quite 'serious'. He is escalating his rhetoric towards war with Iran. His words will inevitably lead to bombs....
"The Iranian regime needs to know that if it stays on its present course, the international community is prepared to impose meaningful consequences. (Applause.) For our part, the United States is keeping all options on the table in addressing the irresponsible conduct of the regime. (Applause.) And we join other nations in sending that regime a clear message: We will not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon." full transcript
......

"Given the fact that Iran has a stated policy that their objective is the destruction of Israel, the Israelis might well decide to act first, and let the rest of the world worry about cleaning up the diplomatic mess afterwards," Cheney stated in 2005
Here is an NBC video with Cheney declaring 'meaningful consequences' on Iran

Pretty threatening, right? Well then, Cheney's upgrade shouldn't go understated. Cheney's upgraded consequences are "SERIOUS"...

"The Iranian regime needs to know that if it stays on its present course, the international community is prepared to impose serious consequences," Cheney said. He did not specify what those consequences might be, or whether they would include military action.

Cheney made his remarks in a foreign policy speech during a conference on the Middle East sponsored by the Washington Institute, a research organization. During the 25-minute talk, he also took aim at Syria, accusing it of using "bribery and intimidation" to influence coming elections in Lebanon, and he made the case, as he has in the past, for the administration's muscular approach in prosecuting terrorism suspects.

But his most serious comments were aimed at Iran, which he accused of being "the world's most active sponsor of state terrorism." IHT
......

Experts at the conference said the vice president's language, while stopping short of threatening military action, seemed designed to prepare Americans for the administration to make moves in that direction if Iran does not cooperate. Bush has said in the past that the United States will not "tolerate" a nuclear Iran, but Cheney's construction, that the world "will not allow" a nuclear Iran, seemed to go a step further.

According to Dennis Ross, Middle East envoy of H.W and Clinton, Cheney's remarks are weighty...
"it does have implications." IHT
America, Cheney is rocking out, Bush is warning of WWIII if Iran goes "nuklr", Rice is threatening a new Cold War with Russia, we are in two wars and a third considering the over arching '100 year war OF terror' Bush has promised. Can we really afford to START WWIII? Do you remember Cheney's 'Quagmire' video in 1994?

Iranian Debacle: Larijani successor, Saeed Jalili, is Ahmadinejad's BFF

"It is a step towards consolidating the camp of Ahmadinejad and shutting the door to any kind of differences." Political analyst Mohhamad Sadegh al-Hosseini
The unexpected resignation of Ali Larijani as Iran's top nuclear negotiator on Friday dealt another blow to the rising tensions between the United States and Iran. Larijani's resignation has added more fuel the the fire of a "nuclear confrontation" with Iran. Diplomacy and negotiations appear to be over. Filling the shoes of Larijani, Saeed Jalili, is Ahmadinejad's "best friend forever".

Excerpts from the Channel News Asia
"The resignation of Mr Larijani has been accepted and Saeed Jalili will be replacing him," government spokesman Gholam Hossein Elham was quoted as saying by several Iranian news agencies.
.....
Jalali was born in 1965 in Iran's holy second city of Mashhad. He started his diplomatic career in 1989 and has worked in the office of the country's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
.....
He was appointed deputy foreign minister in September 2005, just after Ahmadinejad took office.
.......
"It is a step towards consolidating the camp of Ahmadinejad and shutting the door to any kind of differences. Political analyst Mohhamad Sadegh al-Hosseini
.......
"It is a prelude to the line-up of the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections," on March 14, 2008 and in summer 2009.
and a little of their history together....
In a sign of his closeness to the president, Jalili was a constant presence next to Ahmadinejad during his visit to New York this year to address the United Nations General Assembly.
.....
Like Ahmadinejad, Jalili is a veteran of the 1980-1988 war with Iraq, when he was wounded in the leg and to this day walks with a limp.

He also attended the same university as Ahmadinejad -- the University of Science and Industry in Tehran
......
"Jalili enjoys close relations with Ahmadinejad and is one of the experienced diplomats of the foreign ministry," said Raja News, a website close to the views of the president.
Why do people think he is the "direct representative" of Ahmadinejad? well, according to Saeed Jalili himself....
"Maybe because we share the same views and I have a longer acquaintance with the president people perceive it this way," he said.
He should have added..."and we even look alike..so I grew the beard and added the glasses."

Folks, the deal is done. Put a fork in it. The Busheviks and the 'House of Pelosi' have laid it ON the 'TABLE' for US. We are going to war...and Iran knows it. God save US all...from them. For them, declaring war is easy...it's not their children..it's ours. Don't make it easy for them...inform yourself.

The Presidential Order that led to a "fishing expedition" with Cheney

Ahhh..isn't life just great. For George W. Bush it is. After signing an Executive Order to regulate the fishing industry, the "decider guy" decided it was time to go fishing himself.
“The executive order is part of our commitment to end over-fishing in America. And to replenish our nation’s fish stocks and to advance cooperative conservation and responsible stewardship,” Mr. Bush said.
Shrugging off the matter, Bush later stated that fishing is a much better alternative than hunting with guns considering Cheney's affinity towards shooting 'friends' in the face...
On this, his first visit to Mr. Cheney’s St. Michaels home, a popular weekend getaway spot for Washington V.I.P., Laura Bush went on ahead to lunch while he signed the order. “Guess you could say she’s the taster,”
......
“I love to fish. And the good news, there’s a lot of good fishing here, is because the Secret Service won’t let me go hunting with him.” NYTimes, The Caucus
But don't worry...if Bush doesn't catch more fish than Putin did on vacation...it's the Secret Service frogmens' fault..
.“I hope that frogman out there does his job.” Perhaps that was a reference to the lighthearted rumor circulating that Russian President Vladimir Putin had help during a fishing trip with the president and his father over the summer.
Damn cheaters. The only fishing the President seems to be doing is 'fishing' for a reason to attack Iran. Save US all. Bush has a ONE TRACK MIND..and that mind is fixated on WWIII with Iran.

Iran calls US "stupid" and "Will greet U.S. with 11,000 rockets a minute"

The dominoes are about to fall. How does 11,000 rockets per minute, sound? Here we go again. On Saturday Iran warned the United States of the "sacrifices of their stupidity" if they attacked Iran. The Iranian official stated that Iran was thoroughly prepared for war and would retaliate in kind. Listen up, Mr. Bush...slow down. This drumbeat towards war is becoming deafening. We don't need WWIII!

According to Mahmoud Chaharbaghi, commander of artillery and missiles of the Guards' ground forces,

"In the first minute of an invasion by the enemy, 11,000 rockets and cannons would be fired at enemy bases...This volume and speed of firing would continue"
.....
If a war breaks out in the future, it will not last long because we will rub their noses in the dirt" (Nope, more like '100 years)
.....
"Now the enemy should ask themselves how many of their people they are ready to have sacrificed for their stupidity in attacking Iran"
.....
"We have identified our targets and with a close surveillance of targets, we can respond to the enemy's stupidity immediately"
.....
He said that the Guards' weapons were spread out throughout the country and so would not be affected by any isolated US strikes against military facilities.
.....
the Guards would soon receive "rockets with a range of 250 kilometres (155 miles)" whereas the current range of its rockets is 150 kilometres (91 miles). afp

The rhetoric to war is increasing on both sides. Bush has "invaded Absurdistan" and he's taking the rest of the world with him. Please America...don't let Bush take US into the "dark ages of civilization". The dominoes are about to fall.

How low can they go? Approval ratings: Bush 24% Congress 11%

Six years of 'compassionate conservatism', 'Bush diplomacy', and the 'House of Pelosi' has given rise to a 'throw the bums out' mindset'. According to the Reuters/Zogby Index poll numbers released on Wednesday, America is unhappy and our policymakers have become pathetic and almost completely worthless to US.

When is enough, Enough? When will Americans stand up and demand Action. Our infrastructure in crumbling, our enonomy is in shambles, our 'inalienable' rights are rapidly becoming privileges, our health care system is broken, our schools are declining, corporations are running the war(s)... Come on, America, are we playing a silly game of 'how low can they go'? These people do not represent US. They do not represent change and progress. They are addicted to the Status Quo. When is enough, Enough?
"There is a real question among Americans now about how relevant this government is to them,.. They tell us they want action on health care, education, the war and immigration, but they don't believe they are going to get it."

"Americans are still feeling good about a number of things in their lives, but not about the government's leadership...They are giving up on this government." pollster John Zogby
According to 991 likely voters,
The Reuters/Zogby Index (RZI), which measures the mood of the country, also fell from 98.8 to 96 -- the second consecutive month it has dropped. The number of Americans who believe the country is on the wrong track jumped four points to 66 percent.

Bush's job approval rating fell to 24 percent from last month's record low for a Zogby poll of 29 percent. A paltry 11 percent gave Congress a positive grade, tying last month's record low.
on foreign policy...
18 percent gave positive marks..down from 24 percent
on the economy...
26 percent rated economic policy positively..down from 30 percent
"The public mood is not just dark. What's darker than dark?" Zogby said. "The mood is getting ugly." reuters
What the RZI and Zogby didn't say is...Ugly means WAR. The lower these numbers fall the closer we come to another War provided by George "dubya" Bush and Richard "the Dick" Cheney. ...and just think, we could have had Gore. George Bush is by far the worst President the Supreme Court ever elected.

George Bush Warning: World War III if Iran goes "nuklr"

The President says "boom". On Wednesday, Bush warned world leaders that they must prevent Iran from gaining nuclear weapons...but only...
"if you're interested in avoiding World War III."

"We've got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel," Bush said at a White House press conference after Russia cautioned against military action against Tehran's suspect atomic program.

"So I've told people that, if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon," said Bush. news.yahoo

I have an idea. If the world wants to prevent World War III make sure Bush and his cronies DO NOT have access to nuclear weapons.

The Bush administration is increasing their rhetoric towards war with Iran. The war plans have been laid on all sides. Does one really think that the "decider man" hasn't already made up his mind. We are going to war. Period.

Soon your television screens will be flashing images of "pin point" bombings..through window, chimneys, and ventilator shafts. The "lucky" Iranian truck driver who narrowly escaped the bridge being struck by a missile. The amazing air strikes by the "new" Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) fleet.

Damn, Democracy is in shambles.... "Operation Capture More Oil" has started...again. Under the Bush REGIME we have invaded two countries, made a colony out of Iraq, privatized the military, entered into a '100 year' war of terror, re started the second Cold War with Russia, and now...It's wartime again. Folks, remember...these chickenhawks fight wars with our children, not their own.

Putin's Iranian Visit comes with Assassination plots on his life

On Tuesday Russian President Valdimir Putin is expected to visit Iran for the first time since Josef Stalin went in 1943. Upon his visit he is to attend a summit consisting of the five surrounding states of the Caspian Sea to discuss their rich oil and natural gas lands. One problem...some groups in Tehran don't want him there...

According to Interfax News Agency, Putin's life might be in DANGER.....
"A reliable source in one of the Russian special services, has received information from several sources outside Russia, that during the president of Russia's visit to Tehran an assassination attempt is being plotted"
.....
"A number of groups of suicide bombers are preparing for this aim," Interfax, one of a small circle of Russian agencies with special access to the Kremlin
.....
"It gave no details of who the sources were or whether they were linked in any way to Western governments; nor was it clear why the Kremlin would make such a report public in this way just before the planned visit
.....
"I think this is very serious information," the head of the Russian parliament's security committee, Vladimir Vasiliev told the Vesti television news channel. "I hope that through the cooperation of international special services all this information will be verified and the necessary steps taken." reuters
asked of his response of the 'supposed' plot.. 'tough guy' Putin, paid little attention
[Putin]waved a hand dismissively [...]and told reporters... "later". reuters
Iran proceeded to give their typical response....It's all the West's fault. Condi and Gates warned Putin and now they're threatening him. Tough luck..he's coming here anyway, dubya
"PSYCHOLOGICAL WAR"

"Western politicians and their media were trying to persuade Putin in a political action not to travel to Iran and now that they have failed in that, they intend to convince him not to travel to Iran by...rumor of an assassination." reuters
.....
"Reports published by some media are totally baseless and are in line with the psychological war launched by enemies who want to harm Iran and Russia's relationship," ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini said when asked about the reports.

"Publishing such false news cannot harm the natural process of planned programs," Hosseini said. reuters

It's Official...Petraeus is marching US towards war with Iran

How long do we have before the Bush administration TAKES US into our third war in six years? According to General David Petraeus' recent statements on Iran...not long..not long at all.

On Saturday, Petraeus gave a speech to reporters in which he basically linked Iran to everything going wrong in Iraq. Assassinated governors, smuggled sophisticated weaponry, the dreaded explosively formed projectiles (EFPs)..and oh yeah...the Iranian ambassador to Iraq..he's a Qods force member, too. Here are a few of his statements...
"They are responsible for providing the weapons, the training, the funding and in some cases the direction for operations that have indeed killed U.S. soldiers,"

"There is no question about the connection between Iran and these components, (the) attacks that have killed our soldiers."
......
"The ambassador is a Qods force member," said Petraeus, before appearing to suggest that Kazemi-Qomi was not under the U.S. military spotlight because he was a diplomat.
.....
"There should be no question about the malign, lethal involvement and activities of the Qods force in this country"
.....

"They are implicated in the assassination of some governors in the southern provinces," said Petraeus.

Asked to be more specific, he said one case "was clearly an explosively formed projectile".

"They only come from Iran and they are only used by militias so it's a sort of a signature trademark of militia extremists. The other case the suspicion is the same, we just don't have the same quality of forensics."

Asked if there was intelligence directly linking Iran to the two bomb attacks, he said: "I would not comment on this." Read the full article

Amazing...without a doubt we are off to war....again. Soon Fox News will be broadcasting 24/7 in 'night vision'. We'll start seeing the Pentagon flashing video propaganda of how 'pin point' their air strikes have been. The sky will be filled with tracers flying through the air in all directions.

Folks...We the People, have seen this 'show' all too often lately. Stop BUSH/CHENEY NOW!

Abu Dhabi: "Top Gun" Miramar for the Middle East. US trains Jordanian and UAE Air Forces

Thump, thump, thump...can you hear it?..the drumbeat to war with Iran is getting louder. On Sunday the Telegraph reported the United States Air Force has been participating in a whole lot more than they want US to know about. It appears they have created a highly specialized "Top Gun" flight school in the the UAE. The Mavericks, Goose, and Icemen are not from the US though. Flying in the skies high above the UAE and most assuredly over the highly provocative Straits of Hormuz, Jordanian, Egyptian, the UAE,US and RAF pilots have been 'prepping the alliance' for a conflict with Iran. Here are a few excerpts from the Telegraph article...
An air warfare conference in Washington last week was told how American air chiefs have helped to co-ordinate intelligence-sharing with Gulf Arab nations and organise combined exercises designed to make it easier to fight together.

Gen Michael Mosley, the US Air Force chief of staff, used the conference to seek closer links with allies whose support America might need if President George W Bush chooses to bomb Iran.

Pentagon air chiefs have helped set up an air warfare centre in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where Gulf nations are training their fighter pilots and America has big bases. It is modelled on the US Air Force warfare centre at Nellis air force base in Nevada.

Jordan and the UAE have both taken part in combined exercises designed to make sure their air forces can fly, and fight, together and with American jets. The conference was long-planned to discuss developments in air warfare technology, but the question of possible hostilities involving Iran was discussed.

The conference was long-planned to discuss developments in air warfare technology, but the question of possible hostilities involving Iran was discussed.

Bruce Lemkin, the American air force deputy under-secretary for international affairs, said: “We need friends and partners with the capabilities to take care of their own security and stability in their regions and, through the relationship, the inter-operability and the will to join us in coalitions when appropriate…

“On its most basic level, it’s about flying together, operating together and training together so, if we have to, we can fight together.”

*Putting on the headphones* Stop the drumming!! Let's see..will the US bomb Iran..hmmm. Putting things into perspective I'm remembering a day in 1986 when Israel bombed the nuclear facility in Iraq. Now with that in consideration let's look at recent events.

America has just rearmed the gulf, not just with bombs, but with aircraft as well. Israel has just hit Syria with air strikes without international outrage. We have just deemed Iran's elite Quds force a terrorist regime as they have the CIA and the US Army. Cheney and Bush have already spoke of 'meaningful consequences' to Iran with 'Freedom Fry' Kouchner chiming in, Adm. Fallon has been on his 'containment tour' while at the same time offering up F-16's to Gulf nations, Bolten has declared he "can't see any other viable option then to bomb Iran", the insane Debra Cagan just told members of the UK parliament that she "hated all Iranians", we've ignored the warnings of UN and IAEA and in turn created another 'side meeting' to try to bypass the international organizations and rally more sanctions on Iran..(it failed)....

Wake up America..We are being sold another LEMON. The neocons are determined to have their war with Iran. The majority of Americans do not want to engage in another war. Yet, our policymakers are allowing US to march into another. Damn it..Don't give Bush/Cheney their "long war"..their "100 year generational war"

Democracy is crumbling. Wake up..stop being so damn apathetic....please. Don't let Cheney rock out!

Bush administration Dominatrix: Debra Cagan..pounds on her "war drum" to British MP's

Have you ever wondered who debriefed our allies on America's 'position' on Iran and Iraq? Well..it might shock you. On Sept. 11th there were 2 partisan 'Playbills' in Bush diplomacy. The most obvious being the 'Petraeus/Crocker Show' but, the more theatrical content was provided via 'The Debra Cagan Show' at the Pentagon.

Six members of the British Parliament met with Debra Cagan to discuss America's stance on Iraq on Iran. Cagan, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Coalition Affairs to Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, made sure the MP's understood her message when stating..."I hate Iranians".

What the Hell is this? Are you kidding me? I'm not a member of the British Parliament but I can understand their astonishment. Who in the world communicates on an intelligent level this way. No way...it couldn't be true. Wrong. The six MP's made sure everyone understood when they provided their responses to their 'meeting' with the She Devil.
"She made it clear that although the US had no plans to attack Iran, it did not rule out doing so if the Iranians ignored warnings not to develop a nuclear bomb.

It was her tone when they met her on September 11 that shocked them most.

The MPs say that at one point she said: "In any case, I hate all Iranians."

Although it was an aside, it was not out of keeping with her general demeanour.

"She seemed more keen on saying she didn't like Iranians than that the US had no plans to attack Iran," said one MP. "She did say there were no plans for an attack but the tone did not fit the words."

Another MP said: "I formed the impression that some in America are looking for an excuse to attack Iran. It was very alarming."

Tory Stuart Graham, who was on the ten-day trip, would not discuss Ms Cagan but said: "It was very sobering to hear from the horse's mouth how the US sees the situation."dailymail.co.uk
The crazy lady wasn't finished either. She continued beating her 'Iranian war drum' by stating that it would be the UK's fault if 'Iranians' took over southern Iraq after a UK pullout
"She said if we leave the south of Iraq, the Iranians will take it over," said one MP.
When questioned about the meeting, the Pentagon responded to the claims by simply stating
"She doesn't speak that way"
Are you kidding? Because if one takes the way she dresses one might differ with that opinion. Who in the world wears a bright red leather dominatrix jacket to an awards benefit(see picture) much less to receive the Commander's Cross Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary?

Well that person is Ms. Debra Cagan, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Coalition Affairs to Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and member of the Commander's Cross Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary (2005).

Remember, America...she "hate(s) Iranians". Worse.. she has the ear of the 'resident in the Oval Office' and his key advisers. Aren't we so lucky?

...the drumbeat to war continues...

*special note* Her award is given by the President of Hungary and has many levels. The GREEN ribbon on her award signifies the CIVILIAN, not MILITARY division.

Please Hear the Drumbeat, Cheney's Rocking out

The drumbeat to a military confrontation with Iran is intensifying. The same players from different scandals are all 'preaching' the same rhetoric as they did before the Iraq war. The marching orders towards Iran are 'active'...Please America...wake up.

All the puzzle pieces are falling into place. Remember Cheney's 'meaningful consequences'..
"Given the fact that Iran has a stated policy that their objective is the destruction of Israel, the Israelis might well decide to act first, and let the rest of the world worry about cleaning up the diplomatic mess afterwards," Cheney said in 2005
Iran WILL NOT be allowed to continue with their nuclear facilities and enrichment programs. IAEA regulations and UN resolutions move to slowly within our rapidly changing multi polar international world. The bureaucracy will tie up action within the UN. Meanwhile, Israel and the west will have already acted. Cheney's 'meaningful consequences' will have occurred. They will not wait for approval.

Listen to their drumbeat...This is not the "last throes of the insurgency". A military confrontation with Iran will not lead to "mission accomplished" Iran will not play tit for tat..they will go for broke. War will be asymmetrical.

In the words of Clausewitz, "politics is war by other means" . According to the Bush regime, the time for politics is over...war seems inevitable. Odd considering they haven't even tried diplomacy. Please..America..listen to the drumbeat.
