Murdoch Speaks about spending 5 Billion U.S. Dollars

As the financial news world turns on its head, Rupert Murdoch, giggles with glee.
" I don't know how these fools do business in America. I've nearly bought everything I can get my hands on. I love the United States. Thanks guys, this country has lined my pockets for years."
When asked about the future of the Wall Street Journal, Murdoch replied,
"It will be great for the world. Lately I've ran out of news outlets to display my senseless collection of babble. Are you kidding me, of course the Journal has a bright future. These drunken druggie Hollywood slut IT girls are making me millions. I love 'em all. America will hail me as a king when I bring the IT girls to the top rated financial news source in the world....I'm just so excited!"
Cheers could be heard coming out of the FOX newsrooms. When told the news about Hannity, O'Reily, and Neil Cavuto reportedly 'holed up' in the bathroom with a pre-release copy of the 'new' Journal...Murdoch hailed,
"This is true..I gave them a 'special edition' months ago...That edition has some of my premier work. It has Aussie strippers gone bad, UK whores in rehab, my family vacation highlights with the Bushes and Cheneys'. That is an excellent piece...the commentary was done by Bill Kristol...I love that kid .If I didn't have my own copy I would be in there with them."

Welcome to the 'Homeland'.. GOP CNN/YouTube Debate

In a not so shocking revelation, only 2 of the 10 GOP 2008 Presidential candidates have announced they will participate in the upcoming GOP CNN/YouTube debate scheduled for September 17th. (McCain and Paul) Once again the GOP have demonstrated their views on governance, by the people...for the people...Participatory Democracy is not for the people anymore... 'Welcome to the Homeland'.

Does the CNN/YouTube debate offer too much direct participation to the informed voter for the GOP? Currently the United States is facing much more than the 'war of terror'. We are at a critical time in which age demographics are playing a critical role in the direction of American electoral politics. A period of whether our NATION progresses into the future or slides into the politics of our NeW 'hOmeland. Either the way of the GOP 'Boomers or into a more progressive path more attuned to the values and digital culture of Gen X and Gen Y. With a combined population of nearly 125 million people, X and Y are a formidable force for the GOP to contend with. Silencing the vote in 2004 might prove to have been little easier to the GOP than it will in '08.

If the GOP give up on gaining the votes of Gen X, Gen Y, and the African American vote, as well, what segment of the population does their party represent? Well...it's election time, so Bush tried to deliver the Immigrant vote, but he lacks the credibility to speak on behalf of any issue, much less the slippery slope of immigration politics. The world has experienced enough 'compassionate conservatism' for a long, long time. Two thirds of the nation have rejected the Bush Administration and their subversive criminal political machine. If they won't give US answers...their respective GOP candidates should. A leader does not hide from THE people, He/she embraces them..embraces our NATION.

A 'no show' at the GOP CNN/YouTube debate will not go noticed by the national media as they did with the NAACP GOP debate. The GOP will have demonstrated that they are not responsive to their electorate and are following their own 'private agenda'. An agenda that does not represent America. For a party of 'Family Values' they sure do not seem to care about their own children. From Global warming to Iraq...The GOP have fallen out of touch with the nation.

They have given up maintaining a participatory democracy and have settled with a perverted for of our nation. 'Welcome to the Homeland' . Republican or Democrat...your vote means squat to the GOP. Let populism survive.

Iraq: Where Have all the Journalist Gone?

During the last 5 years the United States media has been silenced in perhaps the most crucial time in American history. We are currently fighting 2 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, yet our media coverage is completely lacking 'real' journalistic content. Our news has been domesticated for US consumption. Long gone are the days when we received information from the journalist in the field.

Currently in Iraq, our news is being supplied by the U.S. military. Secluded in the Green Zone, the few western journalists in country, crowd together and listen as a US official tells them the stories of the day. Hard reporting is left to a bygone error. We are not getting the 'Iraqi' viewpoint. More or less, not even an international viewpoint. Should we be trusting the news that the US military is supplying the in country journalists?

For journalists to cut through the BS they need to go out on the streets of Baghdad. Without this, we are merely receiving what the Administration wants US to hear and see. The bloody realities of war are not seen....nor heard...we are left in the 'fog'. Instead we get a perversion of what is happening on the ground. Embedding is not a 'real' option. It only perpetuates the cycle of domesticated news. The source is corrupt to begin with. This war is in a media blackout. The average American does not see the true price of war. Instead we see occasional doses of American troops playing with children, soldiers shooting at an enemy that is not seen....the gruesome realities of war remain untouched.

From the luxury of the Green Zone they sit and wait for the next news conference. Hoarding together to get the latest US spin. We need reporting from the streets, yet this is nearly impossible since they are secluded within their own private gated community. Walled off from the outside world. Be it the price of freedom, the price of the free press.....real journalism awaits...the pens and paper remain quiet.

We went from having over 700 embedded journalists in Iraq at the beginning of the war to currently only a handful. The war started out as the most televised, best covered war in American history. Five years later it is the United States best kept secret. Shameful. America deserves the truth. Without knowledge of what is truly happening on the ground, we the people, are losing control of our future. There is no accountability to the actions we are pursuing outside of the comfort of the Green Zone.

Shock and Awe is right. That is what the American public is facing. The 'shock' of the free press scumming to the Bush Administration's media censure. The 'awe' is that the press is going along with it. Where are the brave journalists who risked their lives to get the story....to bring to the common citizen the realities of the situation. Where are the newshounds on the ground keeping the sources honest?

FOX, CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, Washington Post, NPR....we want news coverage not spin. Stop building your armed encampments and seek out the news. Stop hiding from it. No matter the monetary cost to get the story, American democrazy and the future of a free press lies in your hands not the Administration. Does one really think that if Americans saw the costs of war we would still be in these blood for oil wars? I think not. Show the blood, determine who is committing these car bomb attacks....is it the Sunni, the Shite, Al Qaeda 2.0.1, identify the characters....find the story instead of it being dropped at your feet. Damn it...Cover the News reveal the secrets. Its a dangerous job...we applaud you...now take the jump save America's free press and expose this war for what it is. A mistake. A farce. One continuous 5 year lie perpetuated on the global community. Stop hiding in the 'bushes'.

Why Buy when you can Rent...Blackwater USA Revisited

With all the 'chatter' in Washington over Al Qaeda 2.0.1's reemergence, Meirs and crews contempt of court, immigration amnesty, and most recent the Congressional sleepover one would think that our democratic policymakers are pushing forward to address the concerns of the American public. Is this the case though? While focusing on these 'episodes' we should not forget about the others.

Currently the US Constitution is under attack. The Bush Administration, with the media in tow, are selling out the foundations of America. The very essence of our democrazy. Most recently our administration have posed the justifications of a 4th branch of government, usurping our historical 3 branches and hiding their crimes from our lawmakers and the American public alike. They are following their own policy of 'cut and run', not from war, but from the American public. Together, both our media and Bush Administration have lost their focus of protecting and informing the nation. Of protecting the virtues laid down for US in our Bill of Rights and Constitution.

Our senators do not need another sleepover, they have been asleep for the last six years. The use and support of Blackwater USA in the Bush Administration is their most serious folly and crime against America. Cheney might have claimed rights to a 'new' 4th branch of government, but in total, the Administration HAVE created a new branch of our military. The military 6th branch. The days of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and even the National Guard are finished. There is a new armed force in town and they are not responsible to the American public, government, or military. They are Blackwater USA. America's new soldier of 'fortune'.

The Bush Administration has successfully added Blackwater USA to the list of military 'options' the U.S. has in its arsenal. This 'new option' is strikingly similar to the Bush Administration in that both claim their actions are not subject to judicial review and oversight. They ARE 'national security'. Can't talk about it.. Sorry America. Executive privilege. Try again...the Administration has subverted you again.

Another addition to the security apparatus for our new 'Homeland', Blackwater USA, is an ominous threat to the destruction of the pillars of our great nation. Currently Blackwater is spreading out across the nation and abroad. Building training facilities, 'bases', hiring 'sub(machine gun)contractors', acquiring defense and aviation companies, and hiring top CIA and former military officials. They are truly forming a privately funded military. Does this not sound familiar to how Al Qaeda functions. Secret training bases, military training tactics, video propaganda, privately funded 'religious' warriors...........Where is the Outrage? If this were any other corporation would this be happening? Blackwater USA is this Administrations response to 9/11 and the 'war on terror' Al Qaeda for the United States, if you will.

We already have a military, a federal and state police force, a national guard, a coast guard, and countless other 'security' divisions within the U.S. The 'war on terror' is consuming our American military force abroad...the majority of our National Guard troops are deployed, we are under a constant 'national security threat' on our soil, our southern border is porous flowing with illegal drugs, immigrants, and weapons....yet our nations media and political leaders play 'sleep over'.

Do we really need/want a privatized 'corporate army'? Especially with no oversight.

Defending the Status Quo....Policy Makers and the Media Unite

This week the GOP presidential candidates shocked the world by their 'no show' at the NAACP 98th annual convention. With the exception of Tom Tancredo (R-CO), the rest of the republican presidential hopefuls failed to appear. Is this the true crime though? The true questions are: Where was the national media on this coverage? Where is the outrage in the African American community? Why are the Democrats, the historic defenders of the African Americans, quiet on this issue? Sharpton, Jackson...this is something 'true' African American leaders would address. Imus captured your attention....Why not the lack of the GOP candidates at the convention?

The NAACP convention displayed the stark realization of the power of the 'establishment' in America. The ruling class elite, war profiteers, the members of our media, leading corporations, who represent 'Old America'. They are not capable of adapting to rapid societal change.

We are currently in a digital age. A period in our history where the average citizen of the world has a broader array to gather, receive, and analyze information. A time of the empowered consumer. The Establishment represents a set of systems and traditions that thwart change in all aspects of American society. In short, they are the defenders of the Status Quo. The 'establishment' does not represent the voices and actions of the 'people', in fact, they are in direct opposition to them.

The 'GOP debacle' displayed that the ''establishment' in America is, as it was in the '60's, a force that is subverting the American populace into a course they do not agree. The complete lack of coverage of this 'newsworthy' story is astounding. Our current turmoil throughout the world can be summed up by the lack of response and DISRESPECT our policy makers and the media have given the American populace. Faced with coverage of steroid laden killer wrestlers, Paris Hilton, Victoria Beckham, and petty news stories, the establishment has crossed the line. This is not news, this is gossip. What about the GOP abandoning a primary minority group in the U.S.? What about the lawsuit announced by the NAACP, at the same convention, of 14 sub prime lenders including Citigroup, Countrywide and 12 others? Is that not news?

Once buried in the depths of our newscasts, newspapers, and weekly periodicals, gossip has eclipsed 'real news' and moved to the front page. The Top Story. The money maker, Ka-Ching, if you will. Why are they not giving us the truth? Was Jack Nicholson's character in , A Few Good Men, right?

"You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns...You have the luxury of not knowing what I know.. while grotesque and incomprehensible..You don't want the truth..neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to!"

Our rights are being subverted to privileges. Wake up America. The 'establishment' is taking US in the wrong direction. Make our voices heard.

Where have all the Insurgents Gone?

Just one month ago I couldn't turn on the television without hearing about the 'insurgents' next move, their current Iraq IED bombing campaign, waring factions within, newest botched plans, etc. Now I can't find them anywhere. Not even on FOX news. Nor from Tony Snow the White House Press Secretary. Where have all the Insurgents gone?

Currently, our national media has re dubbed all these insurgents with the " Al Qaeda" tag. Have all of these 'sectarian insurgents' all joined up with Al Qaeda? I am thinking not. So why all the fuss? Why all the confusion?

The insurgents represented diverse groups within Iraq with differing opinions and tactics used. In one way or another their actions created series of chaotic and deadly events for our military in Iraq. They were not a unified bunch of bullies and terrorists in Iraq. Definitely not unified under the extremist views of Al Qaeda...or even Al Qaeda Iraq.

Now under the new Iraq umbrella..they are all Al Qaeda. The one common enemy that we all know. The people who took down our towers in NYC, but not our pride and dignity as a nation. That is who Al Qaeda is. Osama and his crew of Islamic subverters. The 'high jackers' of Islam. Not the diverse groups of 'insurgents' in Iraq who are fighting for local social, economic, and political power. True, the insurgents hold the common belief that they do not want the U.S. in Iraq, but their concerns are local. Not Al Qaeda global jihad.

I must say the media switch was brilliant. Slowly build the 'buzz' of terror escalating in Iraq with diverse insurgent groups, then boom lump them as one common enemy, Al Qaeda. It refocuses the Iraq War. Lumping all these insurgents as Al Qaeda seeks to legitimise our actions. The reason why we supposedly went to war in the first place. We remember Colin Powell at the United Nations. Cheney muttering his hatred, Rummey telling us to believe, Zalmay Kahlilzad as the one stop source of the info., the Kristol con job, the 'axis of evil' State of the Union Address. We remember and bit the bait. We chewed it all up, after all...it was a 'Slam Dunk', and then went to war blindly.

Fools we were and now the Al Qaeda 'chatter' amongst our newscasts is as strong as ever. Beware. Here comes another farce, another spectacle, another perversion of Truth laid onto U.S. by our press, the current Bush Administration and the war mongers at American Enterprise Institute. Stop the 'chatter'...get U.S. out of Iraq and back to the "real" military mission...the so called "war on terror". The never ending war. The clash of civilizations, if you will. As Carl Von Clausewitz had stated in 1827..."war is politics by other means." The true question is...Do the ends truly justify the means of "mission accomplished". Oh yeah. This isn't a surge...It is an Escalation!
