President Pervez Musharraf is about to face his demons. Which in turn means the entire 'war of terror network' is in panic mode. On Thursday, exiled former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif stated that he would be returning to Pakistan to bring the country back to the people.
"I and my brother Shahbaz are going back to Pakistan on September 10 and that will be the day of people's victory" stated Sharif
His statement led to a wild frenzy of US, Saudi Arabian, and UK high ranking officials who had flown in and cooped themselves up trying to save Musharraf and prevent Sharif from returning. Both Negroponte ( MUST READ LINK ) and Boucher flew in.
Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah sent his two most important advisers - intelligence boss Prince Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz and Saad Hariri
the [Musharraf]President awaited the arrival of US deputy secretary of state John Negroponte and South Asian under-secretary of State Richard Boucher
Diplomatic sources in Islamabad said yesterday the two officials would tell General Musharraf that he must do all that's required to reach agreement with Ms Bhutto.
"They're absolutely determined on this agreement, seeing it as the only way to stop the rot and halt the Talibanisation of the country," a senior diplomat said yesterday. Bruce Loudon 9/8/07
an official said last night "There are crisis meetings going on around the clock. No final decision has been made. It probably won't be made until the last minute... "Let's see first whether Sharif gets on the plane. We've then got eight hours to decide." Bruce Loudon 9/10/07
Musharraf and his cronies started to game plan. Saudi Arabia even offered asylum if Sharif wouldn't return. First, on Friday, they sent out a message that they had prepared a VIP prison cell for Sharif and then the anti terrorism unit issued an arrest warrant for his brother on supposed murder charges. The whole thing is a disaster and they know it. In a last ditch effort, Musharraf had even sealed off the airport awaiting his arrival. They even had plans to stop his plane from refueling in Dubai. They've tried everything.
The government banned political rallies, arrested hundreds of opposition officials and declared an airport "terror alert" in an effort to scotch plans by Sharif supporters for a rousing welcome. Guardian
Meetings of more than five people have been banned and security heightened at the international airport where Mr Sharif, accompanied by a huge entourage, is expected to land aboard a commercial Gulf Airways flight at 5pm (AEST) today.
The former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif was today deported from the country shortly after he arrived in Islamabad They nabbed him the second he landed.
Police commandos entered the aircraft and surrounded the moving staircase after Mr Sharif landed on a Pakistan International Airlines flight from London. A civilian helicopter was waiting 100 metres away, its rotors spinning.
Ninety minutes after the flight landed there was no sign of Mr Sharif or any other passengers.
The war on terror continues....the neocon subversion persists. Sharif just got 'bushwhacked'. The US and Pakistan knew that Sharif, who has the support of millions, would be the biggest blow to the war OF terror. Even more so than the expected failure of the 'Petraeus ASSESSMENT' on ESCALATION. BushCO needs Musharraf..and now its proven that he needs them too. This event can be seen as ANOTHER coup on Sharif! They did it to the same guy twice! Ridiculous. I wonder how the US press is going to play this one out...if at all. This is classic Bush family subversion at its finest/lowest. All to keep the profits rolling...the oil flowing...and the Carlyle/Haliburton military industrial complex churning. Welcome to the Homeland. IMPEACH.
I find this 'retirement' a little odd. Consider this. Senator Chuck Hagel is directly tied to the E Voting Scandal and perhaps even in the sub prime market.
Hagel sits on the Board of Directors of a holding company called McCarthy Group. They claim to be an investment firm with a diverse portfolio upwards of 1 billion dollars. Anyways, here is the kicker.
McCarthy Group owns ES & S and Diebold. Both highly controversial Evoting machines. I believe he also was one of their CEO's when they were just starting. Even more damning both those companies were created by 2 brothers who are heavy GOP supporters. Oh...all of these companies either started in or currently based out of Omaha, NE.
-Senator Charles Hagel, a Nebraska Republican, has a controlling financial stake in the McCarthy Group, which in turn owns ES&S. Nebraska voters cast their votes on ES&S DREs. Further, Michael McCarthy, chairman of the McCarthy Group, served as Hagel's campaign treasurer from 1999 until 2002.
-Leaders of the nation's two largest DRE manufacturers, Diebold and ES&S, are a pair of brothers. Bob Urosevich is president of Diebold's election system division, while Todd Urosevich is a vice-president of ES&S.
Back when Hagel first ran there for the U.S. Senate in 1996, his company's computer-controlled voting machines showed he'd won stunning upsets in both the primaries and the general election. The Washington Post (1/13/1997) said Hagel's "Senate victory against an incumbent Democratic governor was the major Republican upset in the November election." According to Bev Harris of www.blackboxvoting.org, Hagel won virtually every demographic group, including many largely Black communities that had never before voted Republican. Hagel was the first Republican in 24 years to win a Senate seat in Nebraska.
Six years later Hagel ran again, this time against Democrat Charlie Matulka in 2002, and won in a landslide. As his hagel.senate.gov website says, Hagel "was re-elected to his second term in the United States Senate on November 5, 2002 with 83% of the vote. That represents the biggest political victory in the history of Nebraska."
What Hagel's website fails to disclose is that about 80 percent of those votes were counted by computer-controlled voting machines put in place by the company affiliated with Hagel. Built by that company. Programmed by that company. Secure source
The conspiracy clan is gonna love this. Buzzflash will tear it apart. Orp will get a giggle...anyway here goes.
"There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself." — Senator Daniel K. Inouye at the Iran Contra Hearings
Something doesn't seem right. Why are the Bush administration 'hot shots' leaving him at such a critical point in the administration? There is astrange departing from DC....as if the Shadow Government is saying 'goodbye' to US for the last time. Why 'goodbye'? They still have an election to subvert..a rare chance to watch the economy self destruct, 2 continuous 'surges' in Iraq and Afghanistan...an impending war with Iran. Surely their loyalty for BushCo is stronger than 'lame duck presidency' worries. They're the same players from different scandals. They always stick around...they're the main characters in this tragedy.
All these presummed departures led me back to a March 1, 2002 article in the Washington Post. The article detailed that BushCo ordered 100 officials away from the Capitol to undisclosed bunkers to ensure the survival of the US government after 9/11. Here are a few exerpts:
Execution of the classified "Continuity of Operations Plan" resulted not from the Cold War threat of intercontinental missiles, the scenario rehearsed for decades, but from heightened fears that the al Qaeda terrorist network might somehow obtain a portable nuclear weapon, according to three officials with firsthand knowledge. U.S. intelligence has no specific knowledge of such a weapon, they said, but the risk is thought great enough to justify the shadow government's disruption and expense.
Known internally as the COG, for "continuity of government," the administration-in-waiting is an unannounced complement to the acknowledged absence of Vice President Cheney from Washington for much of the pastfive months. Cheney's survival ensures constitutional succession, one official said, but "he can't run the country by himself."
With a core group of federal managers alongside him, Cheney -- or President Bush, if available -- has the means to give effect to his orders. Many departments, including Justice and Treasury, have completed plans to delegate statutory powers to officials who would not normally exercise them. Others do not need to make such legal transfers, or are holding them in reserve.
Civilian departments have had parallel continuity-of-government plans since the dawn of the nuclear age. But they never operated routinely, seldom exercised, and were permitted to atrophy with the end of the Cold War. Sept. 11 marked the first time, according to Bush administration officials, that the government activated such a plan.
What was missing, until Sept. 11, was an invulnerable group of managers with the expertise and resources to administer these programs in a national emergency.
the day after bombing began in Afghanistan, Bush created the Office of Homeland Security with Executive Order 13228. Among the responsibilities he gave its first director, former Pennsylvania governor Tom Ridge, was to "review plans and preparations for ensuring the continuity of the Federal Government in the event of a terrorist attack that threatens the safety and security of the United States Government or its leadership." read the article
in another relevent article in May 2007, "Bush changes Continuity Plan"indicates the 'plan' is still under way and is being revised due to increased 'chatter'. Some exerpts read.
President Bush issued a formal national security directive yesterday ordering agencies to prepare contingency plans for a surprise, "decapitating" attack on the federal government, and assigned responsibility for coordinating such plans to the White House.
Other former Bush administration officials said the directive formalizes a shift of authority away from the Department of Homeland Security to the White House. The new directive gives the job of coordinating policy to the president's assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism -- Frances Fragos Townsend
Eeeew..scary..the Shadow Governmentrises.. out of the ashes of 9/11. Paired with the wide ranging executive orders and signing statements, to use at moments notice, Bush has accured an arsenal in his desk drawer. If there is one thing that nobody can deny..it's that BushCo has effectively politicized all branches of our government. The judicial, legislative, and executive are all acting as one unit. Cheney would call it the 4th Branch. We the People, call it subversion....and now they say goodbye?
These guys don't protect themselves..they protect each other. Think...Cheney, Libby, Khalilzad, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Gonzales..you know..our current core subverters. Our mainstream press are saying they're running from the Bush legacy, but that's not the case. The rewritting of history is already occurring now. Their legacies have been intertwined for years. They're the same players from different scandals....and now they go on the run? hmmm. Convienient, but the historical record demonstrates they stick together...subverting the system along the way.
Are they really leaving? or are they merely moving about with an impending disaster in mind? A US/Israeli airstrike on Iran is around the corner. International chaos will arise. Asymetrical warfare will be used. Into the 'dark ages we go'. Meanwhile...they're running to their bunkers leaving US this mess and saying their final 'goodbye'.
Same Players. Different Scandal.
When people say "government" & "Legacy" think this.
The Reason For 'Blowback'..arming the enemies of our enemies
Daddy had his people saying "not to my recollection"..the dumb son has them stating "I don't recall".
As we prepare for preemptive military actions against Iran .. or .. as Cheney calls them, 'meaningful consequences', let US remember where our current US/Iranian relations went awry. Let US remember..."The apple never falls far from the tree"
