Mukasey, Mukasey, Mukasey...'Are you business as usual?'

I believe this guy is TOO loyal. Too loyal to Rudy Giuliani. He is a Rudy crony, a Reagan crony, a Bush crony. His son used to work at Giuliani's infamously scandal prone law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, and sat on his presidential advisory council..check it out..Like daddy like son. Rudy Giuliani Campaign Unveils Justice Advisory Committee

The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee today unveiled the members of Rudy Giuliani’s Justice Advisory Committee. Former Solicitor General of the United States Ted Olson will serve as Chairman.

The Committee is comprised of some of America’s leading conservative scholars and practicing attorneys, many of whom Rudy Giuliani has known since his time serving as Associate Attorney General in Ronald Reagan’s Justice Department.

“Rudy Giuliani believes in limited government, individual liberty and interpreting the Constitution the way its framers intended...He understands that we need judges who interpret the Constitution, not legislate from the bench.” said Ted Olson

Just thought I'd point that out. His fondness and cozy relationship with the Giuliani campaign should raise enough questions to his 'loyalty'. He's not the right man at this critical stage of losing our civil liberties. All in the name of the 'national security threat'
Mukasey is 'business as usual'. Another 'firewall' for the remainder of the Bush administration tenure in DC. He will allow them to slip away.

In his rulings and published writings. Mukasey clearly accepts the language that the administration uses to discuss the struggle against Al Qaeda, says Benjamin Wittes, fellow and research director in public law at the Brookings Institution.

In other words, he accepts that the fight is indeed a war – which would indicate that he also accepts the necessity for tough legal measures as part of that battle... csmonitor 9/18/07

...and Rudy's Sept, 17th press statement on Mukasey doesn't say anything about Rudy and Mukasey's cozy relationship. Nobody is talking about that link. Not even himself. This link is Giuliani's 'kiss of death' to nominees..Remember Bernard Kerik? Pounce Dems..take off your mittens.

Mukasey means business as usual at the DOJ under his leadership. Worse..if Giuliani somehow 'pulls a fast one' and thrusts himself into the WH in 2009, the same type of relationship that 'W' had with Gonzo will occur again.

Goodbye, Good Riddance, Pathetic Alberto Gonzales

The little bastard's gone. I don't know any other way to say it. He resigned...he walked away. On Friday, Sept. 14th, Alberto Gonzales silently slipped away from the Department of Justice wearing a devilish little grin. If you were watching the nightly news you might not have even noticed. Pathetic

This little beep,beep,beep ( that was hard I really wanted to let go) just gave the American People a big FU. The man who 'w' raised from an infantile lil' law school grad to the Attorney General of the United States...just slipped away.

Impossible. He was supposed to end up behind bars. Censured, impeached..anything, but he wasn't just supposed to walk away. Where is the coverage? Where is the OUTRAGE?

The man who knowingly politicized the Justice Department, provided a 'firewall' between the executive and Americka, illegally solicited Ashcroft in his hospital room, Abu Ghraib, approved wire tapping, Guantanemo, Cheney's water boarding torture, the insane claim of enemy combatants, passed all Bush signing statements, Presidential directives, had enough ' i don't recall moments' under oath in contemporary history to have been convicted in the new OJ 'personal sting' case....Yet..He...just walked away.

No giant parties...no media loving (CSPAN doesn't really count)..no Democratic representative outrage. Nothing. As if nothing occurred. I can't believe it. He screwed our Nation. Screwed US all....All with that lil smug smile that he wore on his face at his CSPAN broadcast 'farewell and FU' to America. You did well you little deviant beep, beep. You accomplished everything you shouldn't have. History will prove US right. You're a partisan idiot who sold out America for a pathetic Presidency who is establishing a 'homeland' and deconstructing our nation. A man who trampled on the constitution, 'secretly' signed away our civil rights and gave 'w' a dictatorship.
